Mission Statement:

Our mission is to develop self confidence and a positive attitude toward learning. We strive to provide an atmosphere that anhances social and emotional growth. Our program is developmentally designed to meet the needs of each child.

About London Bridge:

Located on 165/146 Duke Street just off of Main Street in East Greenwich, London Bridge Learning Center is liscenced by the Department of Children Youth, Families, and the Deptartment of Education. We have dedicated staff and a small student ratio. We have a series of classes that help children from infant classes to kindergarten classes.

The certified Kindergarten teacher has 2 assistants. We use a Rhode Island standards based curriculum that is center based, The Kindergarten has an intergrated curriculum with Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, Phonics and Phonemic awareness. The Kindergarten children do no nap. Arts, Crafts, Cooking, and Freeplay are part of the daily curriculum.

Learning Center Classes

Infant: The infant room is liscensed for 8 babies, with two or three teachers. With such a small class size, it is easy to give the individual attention that a baby needs.

Toddler I: This one-year old class has 8-10 children with two or three teachers. They get to experience some art, simple interactive circle time, songs, and lotes of movement! The activities vary each day. The children play outside daily.

Toddler II: the Toddler II has up to ten 2 year old children. There are two full time teachers in the class. They have circle time, art centers that go along with their weekly theme, as well as free time. The climber is always a great way to burn off energy! The children play outside twice a day. Their activities allow for lots of moviment-because toddlers are so busy.

Preschool: The preschool class size is 8-10 children. The head teacher is Early Childhood Certified and always has an assistant. We use a developmentally appropriate curriculum and our goal is to make learning fun. Our morning includes circle time, centers based on a theme of the week, outdoor time, and snack. Hot lunch is served, followed by nap time. The afternoon is less structured, with one center offered as well as free play.
