Public Housing Authority of the Town of East Greenwich, established in 1967, provides quality housing and supportive services for low and moderate-income individuals and families through various federal programs.
The EGHA owns and manages 27 family public housing units and 141 units in buildings for the elderly and disabled. We also administer Section 8 rental assistance for another 130 households.
The London Bridge Childcare Center is co-located with Marlborough Crossings, one of two family public housing developments in town.
Through the EGHA, low and moderate income families and individuals are able to live in the community with the highest per capita income in the state, despite otherwise prohibitive housing costs, thus ensuring a measure of economic integration and opportunity.
