East Greenwich Housing Authority has recently become a part of the centralized (statewide) wait list for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program. This program allows applicants to select the city & towns in which they would like to be placed on their waitlists. To apply please click the following link:

How Do I Get on the Waiting List?

Notification of when our waiting list opens can be found in local newspapers such as the Providence Journal, The Pendulum & Nuevo Horizontes and as well as on our website www.eghousing.com.

When the list opens, interested parties are instructed to call during the designated days and times, and we will mail applications to the addresses provided. EGHA is not responsible for lost or stolen mail. Application materials are to be returned within 30 days. In the event of an incomplete application returned, we mail a written notice detailing the missing items and allow 10 days for receipt. Application processing includes a criminal background check, current and previous landlord references, and a credit check for all adult applicants as well as household income eligibility.
