Public Housing

The East Greenwich Housing Authority owns and manages 28 units of conventional public housing at Dedford Farm and Marlborough Crossings.

Dedford Farm contains structures dating to 1848 and, from the late 1940’s into the 1980’s, was the East Greenwich “Poor Farm”. Rehabilitation of the 12 units on the site today was completed in 1990.

In 1995, the construction of Marlborough Crossing at the site of the former “Railroad Inn” on Duke Street added another 16 public housing units.

The Waiting list for our Public Housing 2-3 bedroom units will be open starting September 7, 2017 and will be opened indefinitely. EGHA will post here as well as in the newspapers when it will be closing.
If you are interested in receiving an application (Public Housing Only), please call Marta Rivera, Family Housing Manager at 885-2610 ext. 16 or email her at mrivera@eghousing.com and she will take your information and mail one to you.
