About The EGHA
The Public Housing Authority of the Town of East Greenwich, established in 1967, provides quality housing and supportive services for low and moderate-income individuals and families through various housing programs.
The EGHA owns and manages 28 family public housing units and 141 units in buildings for the elderly and disabled. We also administer Section 8 rental assistance for over 150 households. We look forward to constructing 10 additional family housing units at 2880 South County Trail, and anticipate occupancy in 2014.
Through the EGHA, low and moderate income families and individuals are able to live in the community with the highest per capita income in the Rhode Island, despite otherwise prohibitive housing costs, thus ensuring a measure of economic integration and opportunity.
The EGHA is regularly recognized at both the regional and national levels for developing innovative housing programs, particularly in the social service, medical support and community events arenas.
We hope you will take the time to learn more about us by exploring our website, and please don’t hesitate to call or stop by our main administrative offices if we can answer any questions.
